Heating Control

Heating Control

Significant energy and carbon savings can be made by installing the latest and most efficient boilers, combined with controls which allow you maximum control over timing and temperature you require at any given time.Boiler Efficiency

Condensing Boilers - Boilers account for around 60% of all domestic carbon dioxide emissions. By fitting new high efficiency condensing boilers with heating controls, you can significantly cut a homes C02 emissions and could save around £200 a year. A high efficiency condensing boiler works on the principle of recovering as much as possible of the waste heat which is normally wasted from the flue of a conventional (non-condensing) boiler. The best high efficiency condensing boilers convert more than 90% of their fuel into heat, compared to 78% for non-condensing conventional types.

Programmable ‘Smart’ controls - A programmable heating and water thermostat lets a home owner or office manager choose when the heating should be on and what temperature should be reached, and when hot water will be required. It will allow them to select different temperatures in their premises at different times of the day and days of the week. This means they can save money and energy by not heating their home or office unnecessarily.

Energy Monitoring, Metering and Control systems

We are able to supply and install a sophisticated, but simple to use software, metering and control package that provides real time, half hourly, information on your energy usage, twenty four hours a day, seven days a week. It enables you to analyse your energy spend, compare energy use by shift, by day, by hour, or by any chosen parameter, and then compare to previous shifts, days and weeks, all at the touch of a button. This system can monitor electricity, gas, water and oil usage, among other aspects of production if required.  Its capabilities are so numerous a demonstration is the only real way to see just how incredible this system is. We can virtually guarantee at least 10% savings, but much higher is frequently achieved, up to 50% on some. As a surprisingly low cost installation return on investment (ROI) can quickly be achieved.

Domestic Smart Meters

A Smart meter is a wireless electricity meter that helps you track how much energy you use, encouraging you to reduce energy usage thus saving money. The monitor gives instantly an accurate reading of how much energy you are consuming.

Meters tell you every few seconds how much power you are consuming, how much money this is costing you and gives an estimate of your personal contribution to climate change. If you turn a set of lights ON or OFF, or any kitchen or domestic appliance you can see INSTANTLY the change this has to your energy use, and your energy spend. Looking at the meter you can visually see the cost benefit of turning unused appliances and lights off, thus encouraging you to switch off and save energy.

The data can be stored daily in an easy to access CPU memory so you can actually see the effects of your changing energy habits. Comparing day-to-day usage gives you direct feedback of how daily changes of habit toward energy use can have an effect on costs and estimates the personal contribution to the climate change in terms of carbon emissions.
