Eco Environments achieve double MCS accreditation

We have this month acheived MCS (Microgeneration Certification Scheme) accreditation for the installation of Solar PV systems, and wind turbines.  We are only the second company in the Northwest to acheive this, and one of only a handful in the UK.

Achieving MCS accreditation means that we can help our customers obtain all the grants, loans and tax breaks available for solar and wind installations. It also, along with our REA (Renewable Energy Assurance) membership, demonstrates our total commitment to quality, from design and back office, to installation and after sales service.

"We are particularly pleased to have reached MCS standards for both wind and solar PV installations. This gives us the flexibility to offer impartial advice to customers". Says Eco Environments director Mike Clarke.  Adding "Sometimes a customer may have an idea of what technology they favour.  We are able to give them the pros and cons of each system and make recommendations accordingly.  It may be that one technology better suits their needs, or as in a recent case, a combination might be best. The bottom line is we can be impartial, not pushing the only technology we can install!"

About the MCS Scheme

The Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) is owned by the department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform (BERR formerly DTI) and is designed to evaluate products and installers against robust criteria for microgeneration technologies, providing greater protection for consumers and ensuring that the Government's (i.e. taxpayers) grant money is spent in an effective manner.
